Neil's Review of Bedrock Sandals
From Great Outdoor Store
A couple of years ago a friend was raving about a new pair of sandals that he had gotten from a company named Bedrock. I’ve been a pretty loyal Chaco fan for years; they fit my high arches and endure all that I put them through. But I was curious about this new company and was excited to try out a pair this last fall.
When I first slipped them on, I immediately noticed the minimalist feel of the sandal. It felt like I had nothing on my feet, but I still I had the support under my arch that I am used to from my Chacos.. They have a 3-point adjustment system to fine tune the fit of the sandal and I found adjusting them to my feet was easy. The only thing that took a little bit of getting use to was the feel of the front strap. It gave a great secure fit of the sandal to my foot; it was just different from what I am used to and helped give the sandal that minimalist feel.
I’ve worn them as an everyday sandal here at GOS, while hiking countless miles on the trails up in Northern Minnesota with my son, and paddle boarding with them on the lake. They have definitely held up to the use and abuse I threw at them. The Vibram sole has shown minimal wear, and I’m glad to know that once I have worn them down, I can send them back to Bedrock to get re-soled and restrapped for a nominal fee.
I was so pleased with my Bedrock sandals that I wanted to get them on our customers feet! I am excited to announce that Great Outdoor Store is going to be carrying The Cairn 3D Pro ($120) from Bedrock this Spring. Look for them later this Spring!
